We had a great time in North Carolina on our babymoon, despite the fact that we were both sick. I caught a horrible cold on the plane ride over and Bob ate an uncooked shrimp that had him hugging the toilet. Regardless, we had plenty of time to relax, wine taste, eat fabulous southern food and visit with old friends.
Ryan, who used to be Bob's martial arts partner, and Clara had the most beautiful wedding in the NC coutryside. There were several days of events, including a bachelor party, rehersal dinner / square dance, a BBQ at the lake, afternoon tea and an evening at the family cabin. We were in awe of the genuine southern hospitality and the amazing food.
The dresses my mom sewed for the wedding festivities turned out perfect. I received tons of compliments. And Bob held his own at tying the bows (after a quick lesson from my mom before we left).
I'll post pictures tomorrow, as I forgot the camera today.

Springtime Weekend Fun
We had a great time this weekend wine tasting and visiting with great-grandma. By September Luigi should be a wine connoisseur, or, at least, that is my hope.
(If you aren't a wine nut, skip to the next paragraph) Saturday's wine tasting with grandma and grandpa couldn't be dampened by the rain. Williams Seylem's pick-up party was too packed with people, delays in shuttle vans and for-pay vendors to be fun - we'll not be doing that again. Michael Orlandi was there, though, so we enjoyed conversing with our 'cuz. Armida has a fantastic smoky syrah, although I didn't get to taste it (I only subjected Luigi to the real "good stuff"). Grandma and I took a walk through the vineyard at Ridge, which was sampling a much better line-up than our previous visit. Wilson Family's Zins were better than expected, and Bob even bought a bottle of Tori's Vineyard.
Sunday we visited with Jen and spent the day with great-grandma, grandma, and aunt Liz. Besides the wonderful company, I got a bunch a maternity tops out of it! (Thanks, mom!) As Luigi grows, so does my belly. And I am just about too big in the waist for the rubberband trick on my non-maternity jeans - I can't imagine Luigi likes being squished that much. I'll be shopping for maternity pants this week (hrumph).

Another Ultrasound
Today we had another ultrasound. It took over an hour, as they checked for every little detail. Everything is where it should be and all the organs are forming perfectly. Luigi didn't want to move, so it was a challenge for the radiologist to get some of the snapshots. Maybe he isn't a morning person. I really hope his stubborness isn't foreshadowing for things to come. No new pictures, sorry (stingy radiologist).
